Catholic Ceremony - Other than readings, what do we need to pick people for?

I know we need approx 3 individuals to do readings during our ceremony, but what else have you assigned special family and/or friends to do?  And how many people?

The only other thing that came up with our priest is potentially having Eucharistic Ministers (if you're having communion). I've seen some cases where the bride/groom do it, and then my priest said he could handle it or I could ask family to help.

Definitely Eucharistic Ministers.  Probably people to bring the gifts to the altar for communion. Most priests will also require altar servers.

2 people for readings, 1 person for prayers of the faithful, people to bring up the bread and wine, Eucharistic ministers (if you have family or friends that are EMs).

Talk to your priest.  We had 3 readers, and he said we could pick Eucharstic Ministers, or he would handle it.  You also need people to bring up the gifts, and we had our parents do that.

You typically won't need EME's if your guest count is under 250.  But everyone else said them all....keep in mind you'll need at least 2 people to present the gifts as their is body and blood to carry.  I am having two family members read the prayers of the faithful.  It is always a nice gesture to have someone (whoever is reading them usually) to actually write your prayers of the faithful, otherwise you and your fiance can together.
