Rehearsal Dinner - Friday Get to Together

Hi Everyone!

I have to first say my invites are finally out!!! WOOOHOOO!!!!  I am so relieved. :-)
Now to the next "project" :-)  I am looking for a location to host a small Friday night get together for our out of town guest and closest family and friends for the night before our wedding.  Our wedding will be in Troy, but the get-together can be anywhere within a 30-40 mile radius. :-)  We're looking for a relaxed -informal location.  Hopefully somewhere nice, and the food can be either just finger food (kinda lounge atmosphere) or a casual dinner.  Hopefully, nothing too expensive - any ideas?

Thanks!

I wanted a casual, laid back feel for my rehearsal dinner too.  Someone on here suggested Pizza Papalis in Greektown and it's perfect!  It's super cheap too!  Their pizzas are $25, but they are super deep dish (if you've never had it, you should try it - you'll be full after one slice!) so they say pizzas feed 5 people each.  They have salads that feed 25 people for $50.  He's giving us bread sticks for free.  And they offer pitchers of pop and beer for pretty cheap too.  If you have enough people coming, you can probably get a private room.  We only have 25, so they gave us the back half of one room, but it's divided off by a half wall, so it'll still be semi-private.

The only downside is the parking situation.  There is a parking structure nearby, but it's pricey!  If there's an event going on, it's $10 to park there.  And there happens to be a tigers game the night of our rehearsal, of course!

We are doing Hard Rock Cafe for our rehearsal dinner. The food is okay, the pricing is reasonable and they give you a private room for free.

I think it would be fun for out of towners to eat at the Detroit Hard Rock.

Villa Penna in Sterling Heights has a Bocce Ball court and they serve pizza and beer or a more formal dinner.  We are having our wedding there in the banquet hall, but the Bocce Ball court is in a seperate room where you can lounge and have a good time.  There website is below.  Good luck!

We are doing the Rochester Mills Brewery too.  They have a pizza, salad and pasta buffet which is really reasonable and their food is yummy!  They have a private room that is really cute.

We are also having our rehearsal dinner at Rochester Mills. They have been great to work with so far. You can reserve a section of their main dining room, or they also have a private room you can reserve. The food is good, great beer, pool tables, etc.

If you end up downtown in Greektown park at the Greektown Casino for free! You may have to get there early but free is always better!
