Meeting a photographer?

We are meeting with our first photographer candidate (Tammy Labarr) next week.

Her portfolio and pricing are online-  so aside from making sure we like her/ trust her ect.  What exactly should I be looking for expecting from this meeting? Any suggestions? Any feedback on Tammy?  The couple of people who used her in the stickies seemed to like her.

ETA:  I didn't see this was your first post.  Welcome to the board!

What style of photography do you use?
    Do you bring an assistant?
How soon after the wedding will I get the photos?
Who owns the copyrights to the photos?
How many pictures can I expect to see?
Have you ever shot a wedding at my venue?
What is the deposit and what types of payment do you accept?
When is the balance due?  What types of payment do you accept for this?
    What is the cancellation policy?
    What's included with the package?
How many hours are included?  What is the price for additional hours?
    Is there a travel fee?
    Ask about info regardin e-sessions.

From what I remember, she seems to be liked on the board and no one's had any problems from her.  You really should just look to see if you click with her.  You want to make sure you get a long with your photographer.

    Good luck!

I met with three photographers....I had a fourth but cancelled because the more I looked at her photos the more I felt they were the same pictures with different couples in them.  At my meetings I got info on all of the above questions that Liz mentioned and looked at my photographer's standard contract and made sure it met with my expectations.  My photographer was mostly ala carte style. She also had sample of the albums she offers. Not all ablums are created equal and most photographers have certain album companies they work with.  You can get all that information from an emal so  I really feel that  the most important thing of the entire meeting is to make sure you click wtih your photographer and you get along.
My FH and I love to throw a good party and besides making sure that we have a meaninful beautiful ceremony...our focus is really on us throwing a fantastic party with our closest friends and family to celebrate the most important day of our lives.  When I mentioned that vison to the first photographer that I was interviewing and told her  that we had a party bus and great group of friends....she didn't look to happy and actually kind of cringed!!  That being said I moved on to the next who when I told her my same vision...she recommended a great park to take picutres but also reccommended that we stop at this awesome vintage bar to do some " shots" and take some shots(photos). We clicked instantly and I knew she would make sure that captured  our day in the best way possible.
When you sit down to talk to her get all of those logistical questions out of the way and then tell her about your wedding.  If she is listening intentely and genuinely looks excited to hear the details and share in those moments with you then I say hire her.  If you don't get warm fuzzies from her... move on te the next.  All you have after those crazy 10 hours of so .... are the pictures!!
