Noah Biorkman

The little boy who had over 1 million Christmas cards sent to him, died Monday.  My heart goes out to the family.

I heard that on 95.5 this morning and started to tear up.  They were saying they had asked him what his favorite Christmas gift was and he said it was an angel ornament because it reminded him that he was going to be an angel soon.  At least he got to celebrate Christmas like he wanted.

I saw this on the news last night. It's so sad, but at least he is now in a better place and will no longer suffer from his illness. I think that over the last 2 months, this state (and the world) really came together for such a great cause and really made his last few months a joy for him...as much as they could be. He was able to celebrate Christmas one last time with his family, along with support from so many other people. It was such a heartwrenching story. My heart goes out to his family as well.

It's really sad. A friend of mine worked with him while he was at Mott's Childrens Hospital and was here at work when she found out yesterday. He was a sweet boy that was mature beyond his years. Check out his carepage (www.carepages.com) and search for NoahScottBiorkman. He was an amazing kid!

The Freep article said he received over 1 millions cards.  I'm so glad that people could come together for him.  This is a great example of what human nature can do and should be!

My co worker lives around the block from his great grandparents and she was delivering cards to him from anyone at work who was sending him one.  I wanted Amanda to make one for him that we could all sign and sadly caught up in the mix we never got a chance.  :(  I'm just glad they came in to him from all over the place so he could have a memorable last Christmas.
Poor little guy.  Sometimes I truly just don't understand why the world works the way it does.  Kids shouldn't have to go through things like this.

FI and I sent him one. Such a sad story, but good to know there is another angel in heaven.
