OMG WTF!

I just talked to my bridal salon and she let me know that the company that makes my bridesmaids dresses are no longer doing the separates line. Problem is my order was already placed, my ladies have already been measured and the deposits were already made. What the hell am I supposed to do now? Alfred Angelo did the separates and they did the two tones in my bridal colors which I loved. Each lady got to pick their tops and I picked the bottom. Everyone was happy.

The salon owner called me very apologetic and willing to do anything to help me but now my vision is off. The only other option is a different line that offers separates. They are more expensive and according to the website they don't do two tones. I am leaving work tomorrow extra early so I can go and see what is going on. I am not giving up on my wedding vision for anything so I hope they can make it work or else the bridezilla that everyone thinks is inside me is going to come out!

Why can't it just be smooth sailing? I started extra early to make sure that all the very important stuff was taken care of (minus my church dilemma lol) now this! Gosh. Sorry for the long vent. I am just sharing this with you ladies because I know you will feel my pain. I am not going to alarm my bridesmaids yet cause I am sure they will have something to say.

I am not going to be able to sleep tonight with this on my mind :(

I'm so sorry to hear this!  Alfred Angelo won't continue to fill orders that were already placed?  That seems strange.  It seems like it might be worthwhile to contact the company directly.  Are you certain that the store placed the order?

Good luck and I'm sure everything will still work out!

She said it was their distributor that they were having a problem with so they can't even get the separates anymore. I placed my whole order back in September to make sure that I would still be able to get the 2010 designs and prices plus they were running a special. My MOH even placed her order back in August since she was moving to Texas.

I think I will give Alfred Angelo a call just to make sure but this lady there I have worked with about 5 times before so she knows I dont play and I hope she wouldn't play around with me like that cause I have a tendancy to go ballistic.

If you placed the order back in September, shouldnt the dresses be arriving soon- not just now finding out they can't order them.  I would have some words for both the store and the company!

On the other hand- you have the benefit of time on your side, so I'm sure if you have to you could find replacements.  Although having just dealt with picking out the BM dresses, I understand that it would be like starting at square one again.

That is what I am dreading. The thing is I wanted the girls to have the same bottom and let them pick out a top that was flattering I am so scared that this option wont be available and the ladies will have to look cookie cutter and that is my worse fear and what I really wanted to avoid. I am going to remain optimistic and just wait until tomorrow but my stomach is already turning with all the worst possible scenarios running through my mind.

Oh wow, I don't have any advice, just wanted to say I'm so sorry that is happening to you!  How horribly frustrating!  I hope you are able to figure out something new soon and that your vision will not suffer in any way!

Thanks sammichele I am trying my best. I might be getting off earlier than I anticipated tomorrow so I can go up there and I am hoping for no SNOW because that will only put me in a worse mood!

I think calling Alfredo Angelo was a good idea. When I ordered my bridesmaid dresses I was told that as long as one girl placed the deposit they had to make the dresses.....

Yup that is what they told me back in July. That is why my TX bridesmaid placed the order. Now they wanna revoke that is what has me huffy. They are saying it is the distributor not Alfred Angelo so there is nothing they can do.

First, I would call Alfred Angelo and see if they are still making your line of separates.  If they are, I would tell the bridal salon that either they place your order and get your dresses or you want all of the deposits back and go take your order to another bridal salon.  You shouldn't have to settle because your salon is being stupid.  This issue should have been brought to your attention WEEKS ago.  It's been what, 3 months?!?  There is absolutely NO reason for this to take so long.  Additionally, if that salon cared about their customers, they'd be getting those dresses any way that they can...even if it means buying them from somewhere else.
