Animal boarding

Hey all,
Fi's family lives in Chicago and is driving out to Livonia for the wedding.  His sister is wanting to board her dog somewhere along the way (preferably closer to Livonia).  Do you have any recs for where you take your furry critters when you go on vacation?  I got my dog the week before I moved to Seattle so I have plenty of Seattle recs for her, but no Michigan ones.

I've never boarded in Michigan, but I know people who have been happy with the Pets Hotel at Petsmart.

there's a place in Saline called creature comforts or something like that... they do boarding.  it's a nice facility however i'm not sure their reviews.

I'm not much of help.  We are boarding our dogs at the vet which is in Birmingham.  Because Sasha is 12, most places won't board her.

When I lived in MI we would always take our dog to the PetSmart Pet hotel on Telegraph just north of 696. Not too far from Livonia.

Petsmart's pet hotels are ok (really at any location in the US they are basically the same).  I would recommend Camp Bow Wow.

I take my dog to the Doggy Day Camp at PetSmart on a regular basis, and will likely be using their PetsHotel for the day of our wedding.

We use this one, it's their Southfield location.  Bella (our cat) was there for about 4 days over Christmas and she'll be there again for the wedding/honeymoon.  We had a good experience last time and know others who've had good experiences (both cats and dogs).

Google Camp BowWow. There are a few locations around there. Our dogs love going there.

Bubble and Bark in Ferndale is really, really great.  A little far from Livonia, but it could be worth it.  They treat every dog like they are their own.

We have been taking our dog to Valley of the Hounds in Canton for two years now (she goes about 2-3 times a week) and that is where we overnight kennel her as well. We love them so much and would never take her anywhere else
