NWR Vent about FI

grrr..lol.

Let me start out by saying I love my FI so very much. I will love him no matter what he looks like, but he is driving me crazy. We have been living together almost a year now, and since then he has gained about 50lbs. He went from being a bachelar and not eating much to home cooked meals daily..lol. Oops. Anyways, he complains ALL THE FREAKIN time about his weight. So I bought us a membership to the ymca. Something we can go do together, they have awsome childcare for my girls...but getting him to go is like trying to pull teeth. He works midnights, so I get it, he's tired, but if you really want something you will make sacfrices for it. Last year I lost 65lbs. I know it isnt easy, but you really have to stick to it or it wont work. I know we have over a year to the wedding, but at this point if he doesnt loose the weight by summer..he will have no summer clothing to wear..and we dont have the money for a whole new wardrobe. Ahhh. I just want whats best for him.

Thanks for listening.

Aww, I'm sorry to hear that your FI is struggling with weight.  I think that it is important to also encourage him to change his eating habits.  It's great that he gets a lot of home cooked meals (which I assume means that he eats out less, but I could be wrong) so you could maybe find some lighter recipes to try out, and you could stock the house full of healthy snacks, fruits, and veggies.

My FI just started doing P90X videos at home, so maybe that would be something easier for your FI rather than having to go out to the gym.  Just remember that the motivation to get healthy must come from him, and continue to be a source of support and encouragement :)
