Hello future brides!
I got married June 2011 & I was lucky enough to have worn my dream dress on my special day -- dress: Jim Hjelm JH8962. My photos were amazing & I can't imagine having worn any other dress! I have decided, however, that it is time to sell it & pay off some of the remaining post-wedding debt. I paid $6000 for my dress (*almost $7000 if you include alterations & dry cleaning costs). The dress is ivory with a platinum ribbon that is made of Italian silk (the sash alone cost $500!). If you google "Jim Hjelm JH8962" my dress is identical to the photo that comes up, including the colour of the sash. There are no stains nor any rips or tears. From walking around, taking photos, there is a tiny bit of dirt along the bottom of the dress that did not come out, despite dry cleaning. Aside from the tiny bit of dirt along the very bottom layer, you could not even tell the dress has ever been worn; it looks brand new. The dress is a size 8 & still has the tags on so you can see that it is the real thing. The alterations I had done were 1) to sew the sash right onto the dress, 2) a bustle was added, & 3) to add built-in bra cups (size B cup, or medium).
I can provide photos if you like. If you are interested, please respond to this post.
Congratulations & good luck to those of you who haven't yet tied the knot!!!
