I bought this beautiful gown on Bluefly for $250, put $300 into alterations...and fell in love with a strapless gown. It's gorgeous - flow-y, goddess-y, and epic. It has never been worn, but the tags are no longer attached.
The alterations were taking in the bust slightly so that it wasn't too cleavage-y - I'm a 34D. And the length was hemmed, but hemmed with my 5-inch platforms in mind, so there's plenty of room to take this up higher. (I'm 5'3".) It's a true size 8 and looks amazing on - the pleating is delicate and elegant. Really lovely.
