I never met with The DJ Company so I can't give an opionion, but after all the great reviews I read on them I was going to go meet them. We ended up with Jimmy Dee because again, I knew how highly they came reccomended and also I saw them first hand at many weddings, so I knew that they were great. I think either way you are in good hands. Maybe make a list of factors for each that suit to you and your FI needs specifically, for isntance budget, packages with lighting, whatever your vision is for your wedding try and picture that and that may help you decide what to choose.

Hope this helped. Good luck :)

We used Alex from Jimmy Dee and were very happy with him. We didn't meet with the DJ Co., so I can't offer any comments there.

I have The DJ Company booked.  I checked out both.  I met with Jason at the DJ Company and Neal at Jimmy Dee.  Jimmy Dee was more expensive in almost every aspect.  We are booked for the photo booth too.  So we saw quite a few combinations.  In the end, Jason at The DJ Company was much warmer and I'd like to keep the business closer to home, as I live in Rockland County.

I used the DJ company and their prices were great.  They did a good job at my wedding and the lighting they provided was beautiful

I have the DJ Company booked as well. I don't know much about Jimmy Dee so I can't say much about him. However, the DJ company had great prices and frankly, when I had my fist consultation I knew I'd be booking him within the first 15 minutes of talking with him.

I also booked the first photog, and officiant I met with but I guess I got lucky with that.

I'd make a list of what's important to you: pricing, what included in pricing, personality,  etc and decide from there.

I can only steer you towards the DJ company because I picked them and thought they were great. I also referred a coworker to them and they ended up booking them as well.

I only met with Jimmy Dee at bridal shows, and heard about the DJ Company (and their lighting!) here, so I can't comment on either of them.

But as pp said, make a list and compare priorities: price, what's included, and most of all their personality!

That is the key of any DJ (or if you have it MC). How does their personality "get along" with yours? And even more important, how will it flow at your wedding?

Go with you and your guests in mind, who do you feel will be a better fit with your crowd?

    Good luck!
