Walking down the aisle conundrum

Hello ladies! So my fiancee and I are getting married in the Dominican in July....My dad is paying for most of the weddin, however we didnt talk for a few years and arent close now. My mom and I are super close and we also have a 2 year old son who we want to involve in the wedding

I have been trying to decide who to walk down the aisle with for about 2 months now and need some feedback/ideas on how to make this work! Do I ask both parents and get Ethan to walk with a bridesmaid or walk with him only? I dont want to hurt any one's feelings but cant think of another way to have my mom feel important in the day.

Re: Walking down the aisle conundrum

  • I'd talk to your dad and see how he feels.  If he's paying, he gets a vote in certain things.

  • Just skip the whole issue and walk yourself down the aisle and have your FI meet you partway so you can walk to the altar together. :)

Then make your mom feel important by skipping the bouquet toss and just give a little speech about her and give her your bouquet.

  • Why can't you ask both of your parents to walk you together? Can your son stand with your FI at the alter? Or like you said have someone else walk him down the aisle, bridesmaid, etc.
