Bed & Breakfast Recs

So since my parents are footing the bill for the wedding, FI and I want to get them something nice so we decided to get them a weekend getaway to a B&B - Looking for a good B&B in either Vermont or New Hampshire - Near the MA border though, so upstate VT or NH probably wouldn't work. Also, if these B&B have gift certificates that would be even better since I don't want to have to pick the weekend for them in case it doesn't work out. The Berkshires would also be a possibility. TIA!

What about the Vineyard?? I sent my parents to the Hob Knob Inn in Edgartown for their 35th anniversary and also my best friend and her husband (I gave them a gift certificate) are going for their first wedding anniversary as a wedding present. Place is beautiful!! My parents had a blast, plus the breakfast is insane!! I had champagne and chocolates added to their room. They stayed 3 nights I think and had the best time exploring the Vineyard.

MY FI and I stayed at the Christmas Farm Inn for our mini-moon.  It's not exactly a B&B, but similar.  It was really nice, and in a good area.  I don't know if it would be too far, but it was near North Conway, so near a lot of trails and the outlets!  They have a website: http://www.christmasfarminn.com/

I would call and ask if they do giftcards or something similar.

Thanks for all the recs girls!! I think I did find a B&B that I LOVE! It's in Brattleboro VT and it's called the Fort Putney Road B&B - They have a pub in the B&B and they do beer tastings! (That'll make my Dad happy) It's also close to the Green Mountain Railroad (something else my Dad loves! My mom will be happy just to get away, hah) and they do gift certificates! But I'm definitely going to look into thos other B&B's for future reference!

We stay here all the time when we go to the Vineyard. I freaking LOVE it. I am really really excited to hear you mention this place because not many people know about it!! :) They have a great package where you can book two massages for the price of one. Carol is the absolute best.

FI and I have never been to the Vineyard, so we will definitely look into the Hob Knob Inn when we go, I just love the name, it's so cute!

    Meaghan,

I was really looking for a good place to send my parents (they never go anywhere!!). My mom is afraid of planes too so we would have to drug her and drag her on.

I looked at a ton of inns in the New England area, but they have been to alot of places in Maine and New Hampshire already.  I love the Vineyard and found that place and booked it. They were in heaven!! My mom kept talking about the breakfast too.  Since they never went there I thought it would be a good "new" experience to give them a special treat and thank them for everything they have done for me over the years on their special day. Now I want to go too!! Will have to wait till 1st Anniversary Laughing

Oh yeah sno, the breakfast is outrageously good... they have the most amazing french toast and everything from the eggs to the fruit is farm fresh that day (in the summer). Even just the juice or tea selection is enough to make you excited! I absolutely recommend an anniversary trip.

ps- I am going to look into booking the weekend after fourth of july there tonight! eeekk! :)
