anyone else starting to doubt their dress?

Ah.. I can't believe I am saying this.. but I am starting to doubt my dress choice! I REALLY think its just because I haven't seen it in so long. I look at the pictures and I know its gorgeous but I keep wondering if its the right dress for me..

Here it is- http://www.maggiesottero.com/dress.aspx?pageSize=100&page=2&style=J1218

This is what I am now liking..http://www.maggiesottero.com/dress.aspx?line=m&style=J1313

I think its time to try on the sample again...

I am right there with you! I have my first dress fitting next Saturday at POB and I seriously am not excited. I want a totally different dress but with 79 days til the wedding I am thinking that is probably not possible. I am hoping that once I have my dress on and all my accessories on that maybe just maybe it will all click! If you want to go back and try on your dress sample, I say go for it! Maybe bring your veil etc. and see if the whole look is what you are imagining?

I went through this. Both times I've gone back to try my dress on (my first official fitting was this past Wednesday), I've seen it on the hanger and said "Really?? That's what I chose?"

BUT then I put it on and totally remember why I fell in love with it in the first place. And like you said, jonnysbride, I had my earrings and veil on and it definitely helped, seeing it with the accessories! I think it's pretty natural to feel like this, but don't worry I think once you have it on again you'll remember what made you love it to begin with :)

I went through the same thing.  Got a dress in November and about a month after, was making myself sick not knowing if it was the one for me, thinking I didn't try on enough styles, wondering why I didn't get that "feeling" when I put it on (yeah it was gorgeous, but I didn't have the reaction I thought I would).   Tried it on 2 more times, took more pictures, and still didn't know :(  To put my mind at rest, a few of my BM's took me shopping 1 more time so I could try on a bunch more gowns in different styles.  I think they thought I wouldn't find anything I liked as much.  Turns out when I put on another dress (Maggie - Laurel), I starting crying when I saw myself, and knew THAT was how it was supposed to be.

Why don't you go try on the sample again and see how you feel in it?  It could just be nerves, or the natural urge to second guess yourself.  If you are still unsure once it's on again... go somewhere that carries Avril and try that on if you haven't, to see if you get a different feeling.

It's a big day - you want to feel good, comfortable and GORGEOUS in your dress!

OMG I have been thinking the same thing everyday for the past 2 months!  I ordered my dress in June 09 and they said it would be in Jan.  Well now it's been 9 months and I hardly remember what it looks like except seeing pictures on the website and seriously doubting myself.  Anyway.... I don't know much about your style or personality but after looking at the two dresses you posted while the second one is really pretty it almost feels more like a bridesmaid dress than bride to me.  The first one is definitely screams BRIDE dress.  You chose it for a reason I'm sure you made the right choice!

Yes, when I first saw the dress I bought in a magazine ad I started to cry, because it looked so plain and ugly. I thought that my pics would look bad too (the salon would not allow pictures). I thought I made a big mistake, but I talked to the salon and they helped me to calm down. Apparently that designer (Judd Waddell) makes his pictures blurry or distant so other people can't copy his designs. It's true, on his website, you really can't tell what the dresses details look like.

You are def not alone in this.  I picked up a dress at the last ROB in February.  I thought I loved it - now I am thinking that I only loved the price vs. what it actually looks like.  I need to try it on again and make a firm decision, because if I'm not 100% happy with it I won't wear it.  Not like I have all the time in the world to find something else though...;o(

Teebagy, I really love your first dress!  The second one is very different so you just have to decide which one is more you and that you will love looking back on in 50 years.

I went through the same thing. I blame it on watching too many episodes of "Say Yes to the Dress." I ordered my gown in July and it came in January/February. The whole time I was doubting myself, but when I saw it again and put it on, I remembered exactly why I bought it!

It has to be normal to doubt yourself after not seeing it for months. To reassure yourself, I would go try on your gown and a sample of the gown you are interested in.

so happy to hear im not the only one doubting my choice!  I didnt cry, didnt know right away that "this is the one" but it was the only one I felt pretty/sexy/comfortable.  Hopefully still feel that way when it comes in :)

Well I like your first choice the best! It is absolutly beautiful! and you will look gorgeous in it!
I bought my dress last spring/summer and have been not liking it lately but I tried it on a couple of weeks ago and i like it :)
Although I do always wonder if there is a dress out there that would be "the one" for me

I'm so excited that others feel this way too.  I tried on so many dresses and bought one but when I got home I started thinking about  the first dress I had tried on that day and i still think about it and have tried to figure out if there was a way to return my dress.

I think my problem was when i look at it online and in magazines its not the same color that i ordered it in. and i would so much love a big dress but at 5'3 i know this will not work on me so i just decided to stop looking up my dress and the one i keep thinking about.

it might help to stop looking it up if its not possible to return it anyway like mine.
