driving question

FI and I are going to a wedding tomorrow in Wrentham at 6pm.  We live in Waltham off exit 28.  How much time should we give to get down there???  I work just 10 min from my house, so I'm not used to rush hour traffic on 95 south.  Mapquest says it takes 45-55 minutes, but I assume it will be more than that with traffic.  I need to tell my boss what time I am leaving early tomorrow.TIA!

95 South isn't too bad at rush hour. At least it hasn't been the last two Fridays. My FI and I live in Peabody, off of exit 40 something and my parents live in Brockton. We've taken 95 South to exit 12 the last two Fridays and have made it there in 45 min to an hour, and that is leaving my house between 5pm-5:30. I would say leaving yourself an hour, maybe a little more so you're not worried about making it there on time would work.

I drive 95 South from Needham (ex 19 off 128) pretty much every Friday (FI lives in N. Attleboro) and based on how traffic flow has been this week, it shouldn't be too bad (I think a lot of people are on vacation), but w/ that said you never know how traffic will be heading South on a Friday in the summer. I would say to be in Wrentham by 6 (or a little before) you'd want to leave no later than 4:30 just to give yourself a little extra time to get there in case traffic is a nightmare. Good luck and have fun at the wedding.

Thanks, eamm4884! I have to make sure I get there on time.  The bride is a girl I work with and for her bridal shower I thought it started at 4pm, and it started at noon and I completely missed it!   (I called her ASAP as soon as I realized it and apologized profusely).  So she's been teasing me about sending a reminder and stuff so I get there on time.  :)  So I REALLY would be embarrassed if we got there late!!

I'd probably give myself 2 hours to get there, because I'm always early!  You really never know with traffic.  It could be fine or it could be a parking lot.  You should be fine leaving at 4:30, but 4:00 would be better.  You can always stop and grab a coffee or something if you're early.
