SO! To liven up this slow moving Friday, I thought it could be fun to do a wedding "would you rather", here it goes:Would you rather:1) Have your dress rip when you walk down the isle? OR Get some red wine spilled on it during the reception?2) Have people RSVP 'yes' and not show up? OR Have people not RSVP at all and show up?3) Have a MOH who does abolutely nothing? OR A MOH who tries to control the whole thing?4) No makeup? OR No hair-do?5) The Macarena? OR The Electric Slide?

OR A MOH who tries to control the whole thing?Well, I specifically DON'T have a MOH just for this reason: I'd rather have one who did nothing--I'm in control!4) No makeup? OR No hair-do?No makeup, I think.  I want pretty curls!!!5) The Macarena? OR The Electric Slide?Geez, I'll say the Electric Slide...at least that has a little nostalgic/vintage charm...best case would be the bunny hop

Easier to send someone home (didn't tell me you were coming? go home!) than to bill someone (that's right - rsvp yes and don't show?  you're paying for that meal you didn't eat!)3) Have a MOH who does abolutely nothing? Nice! 1. rip... because I'll have safety pins and needle & thread handy. 2. Not rsvp and show up. At FI's cousin's wedding this summer, some family did not show after saying they would and they were somewhat hurt. :-( 3. I'd prefer that she do nothing. Because I've got to be in the driver's seat! 4. I would say, no makeup. I feel comfortable without any, but I would feel drab without anything special done with my hair. 5. ugh! I guess the Macarena. Only because I still know how to do that, the electric slide has mutated over the years and I have no idea what the heck to do!

I would rather: 1) Have your dress rip when you walk down the aisle, provided that it didn't expose anything scandalous. 2) Have people show up who haven't RSVP'd. If they don't have the courtesy to reply, then they can find their own food and join us for the dancing. Shouldn't be a problem, though, because we'll be calling all who don't RSVP by our reply date. What I would be disgusted by is paying for a guest who said they'd attend and having his or her meal (and the money we spent paying for it) go to waste. 3) Have a MOH who does abolutely nothing. I don't need much help, and just being present and supportive of our marriage is enough for me. 4) No makeup. I don't wear that muich anyway, and my hair is a daily problem that needs professional management. 5) The Electric Slide. I don't mind it much, and for some reason it doesn't seem nearly as dated to me as the macarena.

OR Have people not RSVP at all and show up?Not RSVP and show up.  We're doing heavy hors d'oeuvres, so we have some flexibility to deal with extras.  I'd like to have as many friends as possible there.3) Have a MOH who does abolutely nothing? OR A MOH who tries to control the whole thing?Absolutely nothing.  I picked my daughter, who lives across the country, as my MOH.  She will likely help us set up the synagogue for the ceremony, and help us prepare dinner that night.  Other than that, I did not expect her to do anything other than show up and look decent.4) No makeup? OR No hair-do?No  make-up.  I haven't worn make-up in the past 40 years anyway, so what's one more day?5) The Macarena? OR The Electric Slide?I wouldn't be able to do either of them, so what does it matter?

In response to the 1st question. I told my future husband I wanted to spend the night before our wedding together (we already live together) because I would be nervous and he'd calm me down. He asked why would I be nervous. And I said I'm worried about tripping down the isle or spilling food all over my dress. His response "Why are you nervous about something you know thats going to happen?" Followed by one of my bridesmaids saying they can make me a bridal bib.

I might have to change my vote from Macarena to the Electric Side. The slide ended up being a lot of fun for many people at a wedding I was in last night.
