Vendor reviews

Some of my NH vendors are close enough for you guys to use so I thought that I would post my reviews here too. DJ:  Dave Nadeau from Main Event DJ:  A+ Dave did mess up my sister’s name on her reception entrance, but other than that did a great job.  His trick of the group photo of everyone on the dance floor leading into a huge group dance was great!  People were on the dance floor all night long which is exactly what we wanted.   http://www.amainevent.com/ Florist:  Mary Trombley from Lotus Floral Designs: A+ Absolutely beautiful flowers!  She was able to adapt well to the change in ceremony location due to the rain the day before the wedding.  We were laid back in what we told her to put in the centerpieces and bouquets and she did an absolutely amazing job.  Very easy to work with!   https://lotusfloraldesigns.com/ Photographer: Rebecca Garone from Garone Photography: A+ Rebecca and her husband Mike were SO easy to work with.  They were really good with keeping people on schedule which allowed us to enjoy the reception.  The whole time they were making sure that we were okay with the rain.  They were also well prepared with huge golf umbrellas.  I can’t wait to see our pictures in a few weeks!    http://www.garonephotography.com/ Transportation:  Grace Limousine: A+ Anise from Grace was easy to work with and as far as I know there were no problems with the school bus used to pick people up and drop them off at the ceremony location.   http://www.gracelimo.com Transportation:  Abby Limousine: C While Mike was easy to work with in setting up the limo to take people back to their hotels after the reception was over, the limo driver was nasty and refused to drop people off at their hotels until we brought him his tip in advance.  WTF?   http://www.abbylimo.com/ Cake:  Greg Worthen of Hemlocks Confections: A+ Greg was great from the start.  The cake tasted amazing (chocolate & cinnamon cake with buttercream frosting) and looked fabulous.  We got a lot of compliments on the cake which you don’t always hear from guests because cakes taste like a mix.  Not Greg.  The cake both looked and tasted amazing!   http://www.hemlocksconfections.com/   Ceremony music: Guitarist from The Music Co.: A- It was a bit hard to get a hold of someone to touch base with what we wanted for ceremony music, but in the end, it turned out great.  Phil Steffen was very easy to work with.   http://www.musicco.com   Hairstylist: Erin from Styleworks: A+ Erin was worried about getting to the Inn on time so she showed up an hour early!  She had us right on schedule, doing the hair for me and the 4 bridesmaids and also doing my makeup.  She was funny and worked with each girl’s hair to create a look similar to mine, but each style was different.   http://www.styleworks4me.com/ Dress:  La Sposa Bridal in Newton, MA: CWhile the price was right, Margarita (the shop owner and main seamstress) needs to learn some customer service skills.  I brought my mom and MIL in for the first fitting and she was curt to both them when we had suggestions on how to make straps for the dress.  The top layer of the dress was chiffon and she put a hole in the front trying to make a sweetheart neckline.  When I showed up for my second fitting (a MONTH after my first fitting), she had only finished trimming the length and nothing else.  She did a somewhat shoddy job and charged $350 (!) for the alterations.
