jhdance - Yes! We're all about the skull & crossbones too - slipped it in in a couple small places throughout the wedding! At least when my mother sees this, she can take comfort in the fact that I will not, in fact, be painting my nails black...

Yeah - I just showed my mum and she actually thought it was adorable! Not that I need her or anyone's approval or anything - but it makes life easier (and I get less of those, scrunched up mouth, upturned nose, responses). You should have SEEN the faces of my mother and aunt when I said I wanted to paint my toes black... horrified. It's kind of fun actually...

erilou - ha I painted my nails and toes black the weekend before for my bachelorette party and really liked it and told my mom I wanted to keep it for the wedding and she freaked.  so did DH.  so there went that idea - well my toes were still black but you couldn't see them. great bag!

Wishin - fun! My BM painted her toes black, and I was like - you have to leave it so I can live vicariously though you! Now that I have orange shoes, I agree with my mum that the black would be too much, so I'm going to do them a nude/brown color.

I think you should totally paint your nails black. If not fingers than toes. It's a Halloween wedding! I think that people will "get it".  Maybe that can be your surprise! I think that your wedding sounds so cool and creative. I want that giant canvas covering that you made! I don't even care that it's not my initials...

perfect....i went to betsey's store on columbus in may and spent in the quadruple digits on dresses for e pics, b party, honeymoon....life in general.......... and i'm still paying for them. oops. and i just bought her purple quilted coat. oops again. and i am so psyched for your wedding!
