So FI & I went to our first cake tasting yesterday and while we were there, obviously the cake lady was asking us all of these questions about our wedding and the style and what direction we wanted to go with for the cake, etc. Well she said she loved all of our ideas and told us that she knows the editor of Martha Stewart Weddings and is good friend's with her (the editor's) assistant, and that if we worked with her for our cake she'd DEFINITELY recommend our wedding to them for their "Real Weddings" to get them to photograph our wedding for the magazine. We still have 2 other bakeries to meet with before we decide where we are getting our cake, but FI & I both thought that was pretty cool.
I think there's something reassuring when you talk to someone who works in the industry and they say that they think your ideas are awesome.
