Hyatt Regency in Cambridge

I'm wondering if there are any brides out there currently working  or have worked with the Hyatt Regency in Cambridge?   We're going to view the venue on Saturday we're hoping to have our reception there.  Just want to know what to expect.  Any suggestions on negotiating with this venue?  Thanks

JenWindy - Your wedding was beautiful !!  I'm looking forward to going to the hyatt, I've been working with Ashley and so far she's been great.  WIe are going to look at the Empress Ballroom, hopefully I'll have good news to report back.On your bio you mention the possibilities of renting out the linens that you used for your wedding.  Is this still an option?  The color of the linens you used would match perfectly.  My colors are burgandy and orange and my wedding date will be October 16th 2010.  Although I haven't confirmed a venue yet, I'd like to discuss this option further.   thanks

I'm getting married at the Hyatt in August next year!  (Yay!)  We visited the place and immediately fell in love with it.  The view is amazing.  We have been working with Robert and so far things have been pretty good (though it took me a little while to get a signed contract back, but we did finally get it).  We haven't really done much other than book it so far.In terms of negotiating, I always figure it doesn't hurt to ask!  They came down a little bit (like $5 pp) to make it into our budget, but we were booking a Saturday and they were rapidly booking up, so we didn't ask for much.  Other places I talked to seemed more willing to throw things in (like appetizer displays, etc) than the Hyatt.  But it is always worth a try!Good luck and let us know how it goes!

arieliz, sorry I didn't see your reply sooner. Shoot me an email:   jenwindy at hotmail dot com.  I've rented out linens to another bride with no problems.
