Hi girls! Just want to introduce myself. My fiance and I got engaged October 16 - planning an August 2011 wedding. I'm looking all over MA, thinking of going with a "rustic elegance" feel. I'll probably be asking many questions about venues, as I'm just starting the search. Looking forward to getting to know you all!

    welcome!!as for venues--don't know how rustic you are looking, but check out harrington farm in princeton, gibbett hill in groton, and hartmans herb farm in barre.

    Hi Kim12407! Welcome and congrats! Happy to help anyway I can. I agree with the earlier recs for Harrington Farm. The Barn at Gibbet Hill in Groton is gorgeous too. Any specific area of MA that you're looking in?

    I love Gibbett Hill, and am setting up a time to go see it! I have looked online at Harrington Farm, and will probably take a look at that too - but it might be too far! I grew up in a town close to the Natick, so I'm looking around that area ideally. I visited the Warren Center in Ashland - the grounds are beautiful, but I think their reception hall might be a little small (we're probably going to have close to 200 people). This weekend, we're going to look at Spring Valley Country Club in Sharon - has anyone heard anything about that? I've read great reviews online.

    Hi and welcome!Knottie Jenvalet had her wedding at the country club in Sharon you mentioned. If you check out her bios or just page her I'm sure she can give you tons of information. I think I saw her response to the engagement post down below (or 2nd page) so check there get her bio links, etc.
