Ceremony Musicians

I can't seem to find any ceremony musicians.  I'd like a harpist and a violinist, but I'm open to any suggestions.  Who are your ceremony musicians?

We are using the Intermezzo chamber players for our wedding next month.  We've seen them play at a couple of weddings and they were great.  Carol has been wonderful to work with so far!

We used Cambridge Strings as our string trio.  I had an 11th hour epiphany that I wanted strings instead of the organ and they were available.  Regina was very easy to work with and very accommodating.  I know that they can do different configurations- I chose a trio, but they could do quartets and other ensembles as well.  I don't know if she could do anything with a harp or not.

We are using StringsCalm but you can also search on gigmasters.com and see if you could find someone in your price too? That's how I came across StringsCalm! Angie is the contact and she is amazing!

I've worked with Brian Sherwood.  He's a violist affiliated with a string quartet, the name of which escapes me at the moment, and he's excellent.  He can be reached at briansherwood.viola@gmail.com and he and his group do weddings all the time in all sorts of configurations (duo, trio, quartet, etc.)  They're Boston based but they travel and they're flexible.  Also, he knows lots of other instrumentalists and so may be able to find you a harpist.

We are using Nancy Hurrell as a harpist. We haven't met with her yet, but she has a lot of her stuff on her website and her rates are pretty good.

We are using "Two of Us Duo", a guitar and flute duo. It's unusual but sounds really pretty. I found them on gigmasters and their rates were reasonable. Haven't seen them in action but they always respond quickly to emails.
