Question: Food at Raffael, Walpole

Does anyone have any experience with the food at Raffael in Walpole? We are having our reception there next April.
We had our tasting last night and I wasn't 100% sold. They promised to make changes to the menu for our wedding and I have a private tasting in December. But now I am concerned. We've already put a nice unrefundable chunk down so we are pretty much commited.

Please let me know if you have attended a wedding there, know anyone who has or are having your wedding there. I'd like to know your impression of the day and the food in general.

Thank you!

I have been there for brunch and a graduation party, I thought the food was great each time.

I've been to a few weddings there and had one of my bridal showers there.  The food has always been great (Chicken Raphael is my favorite!) and the people there are awesome!

    Hi,

I have been to two weddings and a christening this year at Raffael's.  I will say that the people are really nice (bartender asked me if I wanted to rent a room upstairs since I was there so much). The venue is really pretty and they keep it very clean.  The grounds are beautiful for pictures.  They have a deck out the back you could use for cocktail hour (it has windows).

The food was good- the first wedding had chicken Raffael (awesome) and a vegetarian option.  The second had Beef-I'm trying to remember- I think Filet Mignon and it was really good.  I can't recall the christening- I think it was family style roast beef, pasta, etc.

    I highly recommend this place.

Thanks ladies. This does make me feel A LOT better. The service has been outstanding so far so if nothing, I know I am already impressed with that.

    Thanks again.

My cousin just got married there this past August. I will agree that the service was fantastic! However, I thought the food was just okay. We had steak and it was bleeding red and cold inside. I asked them to take it back and they did. I just found the potatoes and veggies and everything to be too bland. I would make sure your menu wows you! If you aren't sastified ask for another tasting!
