Fun restaurant for reception in Boston area?

I'm interested in a restaurant setting vs. a formal banquet/wedding facility for our wedding. Ideally I'd like to do a buy out or need somewhere that has large event rooms/spaces. Anyone have any suggestions for places in Boston or the surrounding area?

We're now leaning towards summer so anything with outdoor space is ideal.Thanks!!

    do you know how many people roughly? And what sort of style of setting/food?

    We'll probably have about 125 guests. I don't want anything too formal/fancy, something really kinda fun, but cool/elegant in it's own way. ideally something with an outdoor patio or by the water.

    I think the Hard Rock Cafe would be a fun place for a reception. I don't know off hand how much the space holds, but I'm sure you can rent out the place. They have a patio, too. GL!

    do you know what your budget is either for the whole thing or per person? also if you have a city wedding do you plan to cover your guests parking fees?

    L'Andana in Burlington is AMAZING and they do weddings. It's gorgeous on the inside and the food is to die for. It can be pricey though... here's the link:

    Not sure what your budget is, but the ICA is waterfront and fabulous.  But you have to rent the whole museum to have your wedding there - which I am sure is $$$$$$$$

    I have all the info from Hard Rock if you want it.  It could get a little pricey(not too bad for Boston though)  but definitely would be a fun place!

    I've heard great things about the Beehive.

    It's a pretty fun, eclectic space.  I don't know how much they charge though.
