Stevens Estate- Andover

Any thoughts on this venue? It looks beautiful but I have read mixed reviews.  We are thinking about having both the ceremony and reception at the same venue Sept 2011 and we want to check this place out!!

Any thoughts, advice, info would be greatly appreciated!

Hi! I'm getting married there this June.  Overall, I am having a good experience and I think the costs are reasonable.  If you would like to send me an email, I would be happy to discuss some things you may want to look into. EKobrenski at gmail dot com

    Hey There-
I'm getting married at the Stevens Estate this August (heard about the venue through the Knot from Ekobs).  So far no issues.  I think you'll notice that many of the negative reviews are from a few years ago when someone else was in charge.  Since Laura has been there service has seemed to improve significantly.

We're getting married on the grounds (they're gorgeous), cocktail hour in mansion and reception under the tent attached to the mansion.  I think that you'll find their rental fee to be very reasonable for what is included (tables/linens/china/complete mansion, tent, grounds and ceremony fee).  You do have to rent your own chairs (through their vendor), so that can add up per person.  You have to use one of their preferred caterers and I'm so far very happy with mine.  This venue gives you a gorgeous blank slate to work with, so the possibilities are endless.  You can actually rent out the rooms in the mansion to stay there the night before (if not being used by any one else) or that night.  We're doing the night before and getting ready there, which I'm psyched about.  Oh and you can save $ by having it on a Friday, just an FYI...

Feel free to also email me if you would like more info :)  jess donegan14 at gmail.

    GL!
