Ceremony Music and BM Dress questions...

Does anyone have any recs for talented college aged or younger musicians to perform my classical ceremony music?

Also, has anyone actually purchased this dress in  WATERMELON...i love the style but in the store the color looked soo faded..wondering if it was just the sample or if its the color in this material

Davids Bridal Style: 83312

Thanks! :)

We looked a watermelon, and a friend did for her wedding. Its BRIGHT. and a whole lot of pink. We ended up doing black dresses with watermelons sashes.

Where are you located?  I would contact the orchestra directos at local high schools.  I know that the director at Duxbury High, Jim Vinci, will put together a string quartet (with himself playing 1st violin) for $500.  Very good program, very competent, teacher-led group.

Mox - call Berkelee/emerson. I had irish fiddlers for our cocktail hour. They ended up being berklee students and she told me that students love doing events. They really do it for the experience and only asked for about $100.  We had 2 fiddlers and we decided to give them more than that but it a good place to find great musicians that just want some beer money.  She ended up being a fiddler for the Dropkicks when they come to Boston.  It was insane and they were amazing!   Most students there are classically trained so its a great resource.

I agree with dq.  I posted an add online at Berklee and had at least 5 replies for an organist.  Not sure what you need, but they have many talented musicians who can play any kind of music.

My friend and I just went to Davids Bridal this past Saturday and she switched her color from watermelon to rose petal because the watermelon color was WAAAAY too pink and too bright to have on three girls.....the pics would have looked too too bright.

Personally, I think it's the color and I would stay far away from it if I were you. However, DB is also getting rid of the color 'rose petal' so my friend is buying the dresses by 12/31 for her 5/2011 wedding because they're discontinuing the color. However, the color is gorgeous if you're looking for a pink.

The pink, candy pink, azalea all don't look on dresses either in the store. For some reason, DB has a shitty selection of pink! GL and HTH!
