Seaport Hotel/Cambridge Sonesta

So we've narrowed it down to these 2 places and I was wondering if anyone had rants/raves? Thanks!

We looked at both places and went with the Seaport.  Words cannot express how happy I am about our choice.  You can read my review in my bio if you're interested.  I also have pics of our dinner options and the room we used (Lighthouse Room) in my bio under Reception.   If you want to check out more pics, you can see either my slideshow (link in siggy) or my album proof (link by photographer's review).  All in all they were amazing to work with.  

In terms of why we chose them over the Royal Sonesta, there were a few reasons.  First, the Seaport gave us better pricing per person, a lower minimum, and a cheaper hotel room rate.  We also only liked the larger room at the Sonesta, but given our smaller wedding size (150), the extra money for the bigger minimum wasn't worth it.  I also liked the coordinators that I met during my visits better at the Seaport than at the Royal Sonesta.  They just felt more personal and more interested in our wants and visions for our wedding.

We have booked with the Seaport Hotel. I didn't look at the Sonesta, but from the pictures it just wasn't on the same caliber as the Seaport. We have had a great experience with the Seaport. We booked in their new room "Harborview" at the World Trade Center. They just completed a complete renovation, and its spectacular. Good Luck in choosing.

I had my wedding this past August at the Seaport in the Lighthouse Room.  Highly recommend it!

Annette - the price is fairly reasonable for all the stuff they include. Thay have a really great package. I thnk you can probably check it out on their website.
