Did you help pick out FI's tux?

Just curious:  did you guys go with your FI to pick out his tux for him and the groomsmen?  I kind of want to go, but FI sort of said he wants to go himself.  (He said, you picked out your dress alone, but I'm not sure if he was kidding or not.)  I guess I don't really care, but I'd like to make sure he picks out something that makes him look his best.

I did because I wanted to make sure the colors were right.  My dress was ivory and they insisted he wear an ivory shirt and vest.  But their ivory was more like yellow.  I like crisp white.  Also, we decided to have him wear a silver vest.  Who knows what he would have come out with.  As far as picking the actual tux, I let him decide what he wanted to wear.

Top hats-- that is great. We haven't gone yet (are we behind? 6 1/2 months out?) but I imagine we will go together. I mean, he can wear what he wants, but he makes me come with him to pick out Dockers from Macys, I think I should be there for this! I guess the groomsmen are welcome to come, but honestly I don't think they are going to care and would rather just go once its decided.

Maybe I just don't know very fashionable men.

We went together also.  I basically went for the color selection.  But the style of the tux, the print (other than color) of the vest and tie, he picked.  I tried to give up that control because my FI has pretty much let me do whatever I envisioned.

We are also going together but FI is buying his tux.  Our debate right now is cummerbund or suspenders....

We went together, but only because FI really wanted me to go.  If he wanted to go alone that would have been fine with me.  I have to side with your FI.  YTou did pick out your dress, he should have full say over his outfit.  When I went with FI I made sure not to tell him my opinion without hearing what he thought first.  It was only fair.

FWIW - he picked a tux I wouldn't have picked but I can't imagine marrying him in anything else :)  He did a great job shopping.  Trust your FI.  He will do what's best

We went together and I was really just curious to see what he'll see and was there for help if opinions were needed.   He made the final decisions, though. :)

We went together.  He picked out the style of tux, and then we picked out colors/patterns together... I carried swatches of the BM dresses everywhere I went, so I wanted to make sure everything matched perfectly.  He was very laid back about the whole wedding though, he probably would have been happier if I just went and picked out all of the tuxes myself.

    ...hello out there!

We also went together. FI picked out the style of tux that he wanted but looked to me for help on colors. I initially wanted blue vests but FI insisted on black vests with bright blue ties. In the end.. he was DEFINITELY right. Look at the difference below. GO FI!

I think the black is MUCH better for the groomsmen. FI is wearing a white vest and white tie :)
