Wedding Coordinators in The Greater Boston area

I'm looking for a wedding coordinator to help my fiance and I plan our wedding in the Boston area.  He is from Boston and but right now we are both in graduate school in Portland, OR so we need someone to help, I've been there plenty of times but don't know where to start with an area that I'm not from.  Thanks so much for your advice and help!

Pink Orchid gets good reviews on here, but I think they are just for DOC

I am using Something Borrowed, Something Blue for DOC, but they also do full planning and are very good so far.

I cannot recommend Paula Marrero enough!  She also is the event coordinator for our caterer, but she has her own coordinating business as well.  She has different packages for day of, month of, etc.  If you want message me and I'll send you her info

Trends and Traditions, they have both planners and DOC,  They can set up a custom package.

I can't recommend Kristen Weiss who is the owner of I Thee Wed.

She was our wedding planner for our October wedding and she went above and beyond.  She does everything from DOC to planning the entire wedding with you.  She is hands on, attentive, warm and most important CALM.  I can honestly say we gained a friend throughout the process- she is someone I will stay in touch with for years to come.

I was able to leave all the details up to her and not worry about a thing the night of the wedding.  She was really invaluable to our wedding.

Her website is below.  We are actually listed under her Wedding Bliss section under "High Above Boston" :)

My friend Christy is a wedding planner and she is fabulous!  We are planning to use her for DOC only, but she does everything.  She's super organized and detail oriented.

    Here's her website:  http://www.cakeweddings.com/index.php

I'm using Trends & Traditions for my DOC. Jenny is great and has relieved so much stress and anxiety for me leading up to the big day.

They also do full time planning as well.
Check them out online at: http://www.trendsandtraditionsevents.com/

We are using Events by SD (www.eventsbysd.com) for modified Full Planning, primarily because they managed my sister's wedding and they were very well organized and profesional (I have a great deal of respect for anyone who can weather my sister and her MIL with grace and precision).  They also had a lot of input into the design work and, although it was well beyond my taste, my sister and her guests absolutely loved it.

A friend of mine also used someone called Hopple Popple (not sure if that is an actual person or not) and had nothing but raves.  Hers was another lavish afffair, but it was beautifully done nonetheless.  I hadn't heard fo them prior to that, but apparently they come highly recommended by others.

GL!  I can't imagine planning from so far away.

I, too, am planning a Boston area (North Shore) wedding from afar (Virginia).  Looking to spend $2-3,000.  Any help or reviews are appreciated, esp. regarding Terri with Something Borrowed, Something New; Edna with EDF Creative; and Melanie with Blissful Beginnings.

JBs_Bride and megandjay - I sent you both PMs!
