Affordable edible favor ideas

I was wondering if anyone had an idea of an edible favor that is affordable. I don't want to do a candy bar, I was hoping for pastries or cookies. What I have seen as been very expensive.....I was hoping for ideas!

We did little boxes of chocolates with 7 chocolates per box. They were a HUGE it and they were hand made by Ovedia Artesian Chocolates in Amesbury. I guess it depends on what you considder afordable but for us this was great! We would have paid double at a brand name place like Godiva etc.

I should also add that we also used them as escort cards for our guests by adding a label to the box.

I love the idea of doing your new married initial or your and FI's first initials. I would totally do this, but my parents really want use a chocolate company that's local to them.

We are doing a cookie bar/buffet.  We are making the cookies ourselves (me, mom, and some of her friends). Obviously this is a lot of work, but pretty cost effective.

We did truffles for our favor.  We bought in bulk and then bought boxes from Michael's and put four in each one.  Info in my bio under Paper/DIY.

We had trays of cookies from Mike's Pastry in North End served as part of dessert to each table - You could package those up nicley for a "boston" treat

We are going through Winfrey's Fudge (they have locations on the North Shore- just google them) for our favors. We are doing dark chocolate covered pretzels and they are very reasonable.
