When I was MOH for my best friend we had a "Shoe themed" shower for her since she loves shoes and I made Chocolate shoes using white chocolate also had personalized M&Ms made.
I put a few of the M&Ms and 1 shoe in a little celephane baggie and tied with matching ribbon.
    They came out really cute!

I like when they do just 2-3 raffle items like a gift basket or a gift certificate. It is something people will actually use and it is kind of fun to see who wins.

My bridal shower was somewhat tea party themed, my girls got mugs from Xmas tree shops and filled them with gourmet tea bags and honey sticks.

    HTH!

My FL shower was wine themed so the favors were wine glasses filled with candies & wrapped up.

For my MA shower, my MIL found fancy chocolates shaped like high heels as favors - they were very cute!

My shower had a "wicked bride/halloween" theme (got married on Halloween) - it was awesome. For favors, my mom/aunt did these little halloween ornaments, they were really cute. For my sister's shower, it was more of a summer/garden setting - I did a "love bird" theme - so I made soap in the shape of eggs, put them in little nests, and attached a tag that said "thanks for helping the lovebirds build their nest."

I had 2 favors.  The first was a scented dress sachet which doubled as place card holders and the second was shower dress cookies from beau-coup.com.

I am throwing a luau-tropical themed jack and jill shower. So, I am planning on having either plastic cocunut cups or taller, tropical colored cups. Both would come with plastic straws with flowers on them. The shower isn't till 2/2011 so I have some time. Also, each guest will get a plastic lei. :-)

For my own blue themed shower, my mom and MIL did blue plastic martini glasses filled with candy and covered over by blue plastic 'bags' that were tied with a blue ribbon. They were so cute and tasty as well! :-)

Whatever the theme of the shower is, if you type that into google or into ebay, you will find some good stuff. If it's not themed, I would suggest using a color that the bride likes or that they are using for their wedding, and running with that. Almost anything can be found in a color. Candy, candles, etc.

    GL! :-) Have fun!
