You can definintely register now. I haven't heard of the web site but I know that there are sites out there that other brides like.

As for storage, could you possibly keep your gifts at a parents' house? We aren't planning on using our gifts until we move into a new place. Stinks, but at the same time it will be fun to have new everything once we do move.

I don't think it's too early! We registered in November for our May wedding! As for storage I agree with pp, ask your parents or a friend? We will be putting everything in our garage that we rent from our landlord because our apartment can barely fit us and the dog haha.

We are in the same boat with a small apt, we are going to upgrade a lot of things (sheets, towels, pots/pand, knives, etc), and then store some things at our parents.

Many people think that cash registries are tacky and some might be offended. I expect that a lot of my family will give us cash because they know our situation, but if I registered for cash I would expect to get a bad reaction. I know it seems wierd.

I guess you should feel it out with your friends/family and see what they think, and do what seems right for you.

I would stay away from a cash registry. I've never heard of that particular site but like PP said, it would not come acress very nicely, and don't they take a cut of whatever you get? Sounds like you already have a registry now at BBB, and when people ask you, your parents, or the bridal party, they can just say something along the lines of, They have a small registry at BBB, and they are also saving for a (house, honeymoon, etc).

My family would freak out if I registered for cash.  I don't think there are any circles that would regard this as appropriate.

I definitely wouldn't register for cash.  People that choose not to buy a wrapped gift will get you cash anyway...at least you won't look greedy asking for it.

P.S.  Not calling you greedy - it just appears that way with those types of registries!!

    Please dont register for cash.

if you are going to upgrade things in your apartment like appliances etc you can always yardsale your old stuff or donate them to a charity to create more space.
