HELP! Gown restoration and cleaning prices

Hi all,

Looking to get an idea of how much it might cost to get my grandmother's 1957 wedding gown cleaned and restored. I have an appointment with Chris O'Hare in less than two weeks and I totally dropped the ball on getting the dress cleaned. My mom and grandmother want to make sure that it will be financially worth it to have this gown cleaned, restored, and altered. Any ideas about how much it might cost?

I would guess the cleaning/restoration would be around $250+ (based on sites I looked at for restoring my grandmother's gown from 1950), but it really depends on how it was stored, what the fabric is, what the condition is, etc.  I remember that someone posted a link to a local place that does restoration of old gowns--maybe it was in Worcester or on the south shore?
