XP/NWR: Need a new laptop- suggestions?

My laptop is dying :(  I am actually sad about this. But, we move on and now I need to pick out something and have no idea what to choose. I am looking for one that's not too heavy (the one I have now practically knocks me over if I'm sitting when I pick it up). I have a lot of pictures on mine, and I don't like the widescreens.

Any recommendations?

I third the macbook... I've had mine for 2 years and it hasn't had one problem. It's so easy to use. It's more expensive in the beginning but you won't need to get a computer every few years.

And I am fourth for the MacBook! I love, love, love my Macs. We have an iMac and two Macbooks at home haha. We adore them. We always had PCs and made the switch a few years ago and we are never going back!

fifth the macbook...I had sooo many computers crap out, or need service work after a time, and my mac is by far the easiest computer I have ever owned...going on 4 years now, and the only service work i've needed was a new battery recently....LOVE LOVE LOVE my mac!

I purchased a MacBook Pro last fall, and while they are a little expensive, it is the BEST investment I have ever made.  It's a great computer!
