FS:Old Navy Black and Sea Blue Flip Flops for sale--not allowed at my venue

Hi, ladies,
I have about 100 pairs of Old Navy flip flops I need to get rid of since I discovered this weekend the club where my reception is being held has a strict dress code and will not allow flip flops to be worn.  When I inquired about what would happen when/if ladies removed their heels on the dance floor, I was told the maitre'd and coordinator would ask them to put their shoes on immediatley.  Awesome.    I am so pissed, but what can I do? I hope someone can benefit from this! :)
  • $2.00 per pair
  • Must pick up in Boston
  • Those who want the highest number are favored.  Ideally, one person would buy all black ones and one person all blue or someone would buy all of them.  I realize this is rare so anyone interested should contact me.
  • I can be reached at deborahdub@gmail.com

Where are you having your reception that they won't allow you to wear flip flops?  I have never heard of this

I am getting married in Pennsylavnia but I live in Boston.  The club where I am having my reception is a members only club, and there is a strict dress code.  On the night of my reception, I will only be using the first floor and members will be able to go to dinner on the second floor so we need to adhere to the policy.  I'm so annoyed!

It is funny you say this, because I was worried I'd deal with the same thing where I am getting married. Definitley something to be aware of at CClubs,...

Since it is a private country club I am not surprised. Many will literally ask your guests to leave if they have jeans on, no sports coat or no collar. It is crazy and a bit absurd, but as a private country club I don't blame them for wanting things the way they want them after all. Still, they should have made you aware of the dress policies sooner if they were going to be so stringent about you adhereing to them.

    Hi, ladies,
All of the black flip flops are currently pending.
    Thank you for the interest!

As far as the dress code, I was given the dress code information, but I crazily thought that it was not as stringent for the recpetion.  I knew no one would come in jeans or anything, but I HATE when ladies take off their shoes and dance barefoot so I thought flip flops were a good idea!  I now just need to figure out a tactful way to let my family and friends know to bring comfy shoes! :)

*Mckridings--I replied to your e-mail.   I just got back to Boston after driving from PA so sorry for not getting back to you sooner!

Uh oh, this makes me nervous!  I hope the club I am getting married at allows them!  That would be terrible :/

Corey - what color are your flip flops? I'm looking for black or silver!
