When did you do your hair/makeup trial

I am trying to figure out when I should book my hair/makeup trial.  The salon suggested I get my hair trial done when my hair is going to be the same color/length as it will be for the wedding.  I get my hair highlighted/cut every 4 months and plan to get it done a week and a half before my wedding in August.  So should I book my appointment for the end of April after I get it done?  Just wondering if this is too early.  When did you get your trials done or when are you planning on getting it done?

I am not getting married until October and I just did mine...I figured it was never too early to do a trial!

I may be crazy though!

I am getting married on October 2 and I booked mine for April 24th.  I figure I want to give myself plenty of time just in case I need to go back a second time.  I can't wait and was getting impatient to be honest lol

It depends on your personality - if you think you may change your mind, get it done very close to your wedding.  And if you think you will 100% trust your decision April is not too early.  I get two makeup/hair trials, and my first will be in May for my July 24th wedding.

I had mine 2 months prior. I grew to hate my hairstyle though and my stylist fit me in for another trial 2 days before the wedding and I loved it. Whew!

Thanks everyone!  I think I'll book one for end of April/early May and then if I want to go again I can or if I am happy then I'll be all set!

I did mine last August/September for this June. I did mine early because it's during peak wedding season.

Where are you girls going to get 2+ trials?  I need this!  Just moved back to the east coast from chicago and I know no hair stylists here... am afraid 1 trial may not be enough time to get to know/trust/love the stylist

I an have as many as I want but I have to pay the same price for each one.

I just booked my hair stylist and my wedding is in August too. I felt a little behind the ball because a lot of the hair stylists that were recommended on this website were already booked for my wedding date. There were other stylists that were recommended to me but they were way out of my budget.  So you might want to go ahead and start looking. I'm going with Jennifer Guerriero.
