to all you ladies that had showers this weekend (and have had them before this weekend)....

was your shower a surprise?!? I have a very cute dress Id like to wear to mine and I have no idea where and when it is- which is great. Is it weird to give my MOH my dress and slip out to change?! I am so worried i will end up in jeans or sweats depending on how they pull this off....

TIA!

Hey Star :) my shower was not a surprise - I'm too much of a control freak for that to happen! But I have been to showers both bridal and baby where the guest of honor showed up in jeans, one even in pajamas - don't even stress about it! If your dress is there, you can always sneak out to put it on and then re-enter the room for a second set of photos :)

Mine wasn't a surprise either, but I agree that would be fine.  Just give the dress to your MOH (with cute shoes & anything else you might want) so that you can do a quick change if you need to.  If it's a surprise everyone will know that you had no idea and no one will be judging what you are wearing :)

Mine wasn't a surprise, but I would totally give everything you need to your MOH and start doing your hair and makeup before you leave the house on Saturday and Sundays!  The surprise will be fun :)

I'm sure your MOH will make sure that you are dressed to the 9's and if you have something specific you want to wear I'd give it to her

Mine was a surprise but I figured it out because I am a huge control freak and wanted to be beautiful haha. My MOH had suggested that I give her my outfit and make up and such and she would let me know an hour ahead of time so I could get ready at her house. However, I was obsessive and found everything out ahead of time haha.

LOL I am SO tempted to do that but I feel bad. They are working SO hard to make this secret work. I literally have so much this summer I have no idea WHICH event could be a fake!

Mine was not a surprise, definitely didn't want to be caught off guard because I'm way too much of an OCD type person! ;) Definitely just give your outfit to your MOH and do your hair/makeup on the weekends, ha!

Mine was not a surprise.  I didn't really want it to be, plus it would've been tough since I had to drive to CT for it.  It would've been hard for them to come up with a reason to get me down there without knowing it was for my shower.

My friend's shower was a surprise, and the maids asked her then FI (now husband) to supply an outfit for her to change into...picture an oversized t-shirt, old (not exactly the right size) work pants, and broken heels. (Whoops!)
I would either hand over the dress, or tell your MOH, your FI, and all others who might be involved EXACTLY which dress, which shoes, and where you keep them.
Until then, enjoy getting all fancied up every time you go out! (Oh, surprises...Wink)
