Rehearsal Dinner

I need ideas for a rehearsal dinner location in Boston  that is reasonably priced.

How many people? Do you want a private room? Is there a part of town that you'd rather be in? (Just thinking about proximity to where the rehearsal will be...)

Does it have to be "in" the city?  If not Boccelis in Medford is great.  Nice private room (with private bar and restrooms) great food for under $20 a head (I think my friend paid $16 a head for apps and buffet with 6 or so diffent entrees).  Their bar is also relatively cheap.

    How

sorry somehow hit post before being done...

How many people are you thinking?
Where is your rehearsal?  Do you want a particular type of food?

Thanks for the info ladies.  We plan to have about 40 guests at the rehearsal dinner.  We would like to have the rehearsal dinner in Boston if we can find a reasonable place. We are open to what type of restaurant, although seafood and italian food you can't go wrong with.   Our rehearsal is at a chruch in Newton Centre, so somewhere within a 30 minute drive I think is reasonable.

What about Maggianos in Boston?  They are reasonably prices for family style dinners...not sure what the prices are if you rent a room downstairs.

I'm pretty sure Bocceli's is gone, actually...

Maggiano's is great, as is Rocca, which has a great private room.

John Harvard's in Harvard Square has a great private room and affordable menu.
