Save the Dates

Hey Girls,
I have a question about save the dates and how they need to be addressed.  i was under the impression that save the dates are less formal then invitations.  Do I still need to address them as "Mr. and Mrs. John Smith or can I just do John and Linda Smith?

I'd try the etiquette board...BUT I sent my save the dates a couple of weeks ago and did them informally.  They are postcard photos with limited hotel info, date, venue, etc.  I addressed them informally since the STD itself was informal.

I did ours very informally as well.

    Instead of:

Mrs. Janice and Mr. Robert Smith

    I did:

    Jan & Bob Smith

We did postcards also: PIB under DIY.
Yay! Finally able to update my signature :)

    I did:

John and Heidi Smith or The Smith Family.

Definitely more informal than my invitations.

Ditto everyone. I made them informal and received no complaints!

We're doing them formally only because its essentially the same list as the invite list... and if they were informal fi's mother might just go crazy Undecided

I did formal too (Mr. and Mrs. John Smith) because I am also going off a list I'll use for my invites. Really- you can't go wrong either way.
