"My Girl" by the Temptations for me too...but close 2nd and 3rd choices were "Stealing Cinderella" by Chuck Wicks and "Butterfly Kisses" by Bob Carlisle.  Both tearjerkers...hence going with the first one!

I know its TOTALLY weird and will warrant some explanation by the dj.. but "america" by simon and garfunkle. My dad raised me on his music and we often took road trips.. while my mom and brother fell asleep.. my dad and I rocked out together. We always sang America as we hit the NJ turnpike.... I listen to and I picture being his co-pilot again...

My dad chose "Dance with My Father" by Luther Vandross.  I tried to tell him the song was about Luther's dead father, but my dad loves the song, so we went with it .

The first time my Dad ever heard "I Loved Her First" by Heartland was probably a year before I got engaged.  He heard it and thought of my wedding years to come.  He made me sit and listen to the song with him and told me this would be our first dance song.  It was a really emotional moment for both of us (and this was way before I got engaged!).  

It's really popular right now but it meant a lot to me
