Computer calligraphy- price and quality?

Ok- I asked earlier about calligraphy for my invitations... what do you all think about computer calligraphy?

The company making my invitations is able to do computer calligraphy for $.55 an envelope. In total, we are looking at $55.00. The price seems good but I am wondering about the quality....

any thoughts are appreciated!

I think computer calligraphy still looks really good and is totally fine...I had the same question and I actually found somewhat of a compromise.  It's hard to explain, but there's a woman in Burlington that actually uses this drafting machine that's hooked up to a computer.  The addresses are loaded into the computer but then a real pen is hooked up to the "machine"  so it uses real pen and ink to write the addresses.  It's hard to explain but she can show you how it works.  She only charges .75 for outer envelopes and .35 for inner envelopes.  It's a little more than plain computer calligraphy, but a lot cheaper than a hand calligrapher.   I thought it looked a little nicer and could possibly pass off as real hand calligraphy.  The website is http://www.classic-calligraphy.com/ if you want to check it out.

I can't comment on the quality, but I will say I think it would be worth $.55 to me to not have to load the envelopes and print them myself. I'm going to handwrite them, but I'm scared of trying print out on the envelopes myself.

We actually just picked out our wedding invitations this weekend. The woman doing them quoted us about the same price as yours for computer calligraphy. We are doing it because I think it looks nice enough and it saves me the headache of trying to do something on my own.

We did ours on our own printer. It took some tweeking to make sure the setting were right, but it worked well.
