North shore rehearsal locations?

FI and I were totally sold on having our rehearsal dinner at the Border Cafe in Saugus.  We were sorely disappointed when they told us they couldn't accommodate us :(  Any other ideas in the Saugus/Malden/Wakefield area?

Other places we're considering are the Border in Burlington, Not Your Average Joes, Papas in Malden, Anthony's in Malden, and Kowloon in Saugus

We don't really care if it's casual or formal but have a budget around $25pp.

Thank you!!

I totally wanted my rehearsal at Kowloon, its kind of a running joke with one of my BMs, I love the over the top atmosphere...however FI mom was into something more formal.  I think Kowloon would be really fun and affordable.

Lexi, we are definitely considering it!  We had SIL's bridal shower there in January and it was really fun and definitely affordable!

We're considering Exchange St...Salem Beer Works used to be our #1 choice but it's too far to ask people to drive...I will check out Jimmy's and Vinny T's!

Has anyone heard anything about Raso's in Medford/Somerville?

I've had dinner at Raso's before. It's not too bad. I think the parking is fairly limited though. The food was very good although the atmosphere was a little bit bar-ish and it was pretty loud when we were there. I don't think they have a private room but its possible.

Kowloon! Kowloon! That is such a great idea.

Kowloons would be awesome ... I have been to an event type dinner there before ... I would also look into Bisuteki at the Sheraton Four Points in Revere .... AWESOME food and so much fun to watch the Hibatchi chefs ...

FI and I keep telling our parents that we want our reception at Kowloon because when we brought it up for our RD they all laughed except his mom (she spent a long time trying to convince us it was a bad idea). In conclusion Kowloon! Kowloon! (If you want to get really crazy, Hooters is just across Rt. 1. Haha.)

To be more traditional (serious?) Exchange Street is all right. (And, if you go through Restaurant.com you can get some pretty good deals on large gift certificates...around Christmas I got a $100 gift certificate for $6!)

Also, there's the Hilltop. It's a little dated, but the food is good, and they definately have plenty of room!

     Good Luck!

I went to a rehersal dinner at Exchange Street Bistro and they did a nice job. Rasos is just ok. However, Bocellis in Meford has great food. It's not the prettiest place around but the price is right and the food is good!

We are strongly considering Kowloon....they also have comedy shows on Friday night, which I think would be a really fun way to spend time with the wedding party and end the night on a high note.

We like Exchange St. for dinner but the banquet menu looks a little generic for the amount they charge, so we want to consider other options.

I will also look at Boccelli's and Bisuteki.  I haven't been to Bisuteki in about 15 years!
