kid friendly reception sites.. I don't just want a table in the back with activities...

Ok, so we want to have a kid friendly reception since there will be a bunch of kids, prob 4-10yrs. I don't want to have a formal reception with a kids table with coloring and puzzles and books etc. I want them to actually be participating and doing something. Our first thought was going to Kimball Farm so we could all be playing mini golf and riding bumber boats etc but that is turing out to be a bust.
Are there are other fun venues around? Any other ideas?

Here's what I came up with....Wachusett, Fenway, Museum of Science, New England Aquarium? Great idea...GL!

I wonder if you could find a venue with a large lawn area, and set up lawn games for everyone. I don't know where your planning for, but we could give you some reccomendations if you have an area you want to stick with.

The Larz Anderson Park in Brookline has gorgeous grounds: lawns, a pond, etc.....plus a playground & baseball diamond!  Definitely kid friendly.  You could have a lovely ceremony and very fun reception.
