"Light" Wedding Cake Recommendations?

SO hopefully people know what I'm talking about, but I'm a big fan of "Chinatown" cakes.  These are cakes that the frosting is made from a light whipped cream type frosting, and the actual cake is a sponge cake.  As the name implies, you can get it at any bakery in Chinatown.  :)

Does anyone know of any wedding cake bakeries NOT in Chinatown that made cakes that aren't dense, heavy, or too sweet?  I like the Chinatown cake because it's very light and fluffy, and not too sweet, which is why I don't like the standard fare of cakes usually.

I'm debating doing 2 cakes, 1 Chinatown cake for 1/2 the guests, and a standard buttercream/fondant decorated cake for the other 1/2 of the guests, but I'd like it to be a cake I enjoy as well and would want to eat too!  I've got to bridal expos and tried cakes from KM, Jacques, etc and they are just too rich/heavy for me.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  :)

We are getting our cake from Dessert Works in Norwood and their cake is amazing! It is a really light and fluffy chiffon cake, so it isn't nearly as dense as a normal baked cake. They also don't use fondant, they use buttercream frosting and rolled chocolate for everything.

I love the cakes from Chinatown.  I don't know any bakery that makes cakes like that.  I would do half and half or just the one from chinatown.  Eldo's bakery(in chinatown) makes wedding cakes I think.  I'm doing a dessert spread and I am definitely having their cake.

    Goodluck!!!

I was going to suggest trying Eldo Cake House in Chinatown, too:

I'm getting the Chinatown cake from Eldo, which I think is the best bakery in Chinatown.  It's just tough to find a "traditional" wedding cake bakery that doesn't make rich and heavy dense cakes. Thanks for all your help and advice!
