Who picked Rehearsal Dinner location?

So FI's parents (who do NOT get along at all, don't even speak) are hosting our rehearsal dinner.

Should I ask them to pick a location or should I pick? I'm at a loss.

I would let them pick the location...or maybe ask your FI to talk to them about it!

I would ask what they prefer.  FI's mom wanted me to handle it because she's not from the area.

We picked ours and just told Fi's parents, but like PP they aren't from the area. His mom told us to pick whatever and she would take care of it from there, which was prett awesome.

I'd have FI talk to them and see which they prefer.

At least your FI parents are willing to pay. My FI father is a cheap SOB...makes well over 6 figures and basically tells us that he DOESN'T have the money. How interesting that my dad who is a retired teacher DOES have over 30K for a wedding and this SOB who gets a 40K bonus every x-mas apparently does not for a DINNER!!

I would have your FI talk to them and see if you can choose a place and just let them know where you would like it to be.

DH's parents asked us to find a place and take care of the arrangements, and they just paid. His mom did the invitations once everything was settled.

We picked the location, but we made that FMIL and FFIL were ok with it before we booked it.

FMIL did all the leg work and checked out menues etc... when she narrowed it down to 3 places fi and I went to check them out and we choose the actual place together.
