Venue Advice

Has anyone ever gotten married or had a reception at Pembroke Country Club and how was it?

Also, has anyone used Fasano's in Braintree as their catering company?  They are one of the preferred vendors for Pembroke and their prices seem ridiculously cheap and I am wondering if it is too good to be true.  They have packages that run around $50/pp or so (less for buffet) that includes food, wedding cake, photography, florist, invitations and limo service.  But I do like the look of them in that they seem to offer more simpler menu options, which would definitely appear to my FI and me.

My sisters wedding was catered my fasano's and the food was really good. We had the stuffed chicken, potatoes, veggies and ice cream with the cake for dessert.  The service was really good too:)

I haven't been to Pembroke CC in a few years but I did have one of my proms there. It is a nice place and a few years ago it did need some upgrades but last year it went bankrupt and was brought by a professional hockey player, can't remember his name, and supposedly they were going to do lots of upgrades etc. I don't remember who the caterer was years ago to be honest with you.

$50 per person for all that does sound really cheap to me and you wonder if the quality is there. Have you tried googling them for reviews? I know I am getting married at Easton Country Club (not too far away from Pembroke) and my package is similiar, includes food, cake, invitations, photography and florist and we are paying approximately $95 per person.

    Good luck

$50 per person does initially sound a little too good to be true, especially since I'm having my reception at the Easton Country Club in 2011 where merely the basic package (3 courses including wedding cake, champagne toast, the room, bartender, coat check) is in the $60 per person range.

I did check out a place in Halifax (the Monponsett Inn) and their all-inclusive package (everything you need except the officiant and your attire) was just over $70 with administrative fees.  I think that you have a pretty good deal.
