St. James Church in Salem

Looking into getting married at St. James - does anyone have any experience with the church, either as a parishioner, attending a wedding, or having their own wedding there?

Or other suggestions for North Shore Catholic Churches?  We need a church flexible with us being from out of state, and one of us is Greek Orthodox.

Thanks!

I had a horrible experience there. I would rather not talk about it publicly on the boards but if you pm me I'm happy to share details. GL!

I don't know anything about St. James, but there's St. Mary's church in Danvers. That's where I'm having mine. I happen to be a parishoner (or technically my Mom still is), but that didn't even come up until later in the conversation when I called to book it. As soon as I mentioned I was interested in having my wedding there they just asked me the date and penciled us in the calendar. Also, my fiance is Hindu, and the priest said we just have to fill out some paperwork but that it won't be a problem. Good luck figuring it out!

St Anne's church in Salem. I am non denominational and my fiance is catholic and they are having no issues with us marrying there. We just had to attend Pre-Cana for two days and that was their only requirement. The priest is a very good family friend and he is wonderful!
