Oops...you guys, I bought my third pair of wedding shoes today...

{{sorry, it won't let me post pics right now so these are all going to be URLS}}

...but these are the final ones, for real this time!

Ever since I started thinking about it, I have been dead-set on wearing colored shoes (much to the dismay of older family members, co-workers, and my FMIL).  "More fun photo ops," I thought, and less traditional, like the whole wedding is going to be.

First, I bought navy, to match the bridesmaids' dresses, and be my "something blue": http://tinyurl.com/24begnw

Then, purple, because they were super-fun, and I figured it could be a nice tribute in honor of my mom, since purple is the color of pancreatic cancer and that's how I lost her: http://tinyurl.com/2ef395m

That was all well and good and I've actually told several people that that was the plan, to wear the purple.

But of course now, in the last few weeks, I've suddenly had a change of heart, and think maybe I do want to go more traditional after all. The main impetus there was falling in love with these Badgley Mischka shoes (in pink, but I figured I could go white if I really needed an excuse to buy them): http://tinyurl.com/2wbdqpp

They were way over budget, though, and after already buying two pairs, I really couldn't justify it. Until....today. When I found a perfectly acceptable knockoff at 1/3 of the price.

Enter...my new love:

Sigh. Okay. These are really the last ones now. I swear. :)

How about wearing the white for the cereomy then changing into another pair? I vote the purple if you do that:) Love them and love the reason for wearing them!!

Ohh, I like that idea, thanks! We'll have to see which one is more comfortable...maybe I'll do purple for the ceremony & pics and then white for the rest of the night.  After just wearing both for a little while, I can def walk more easily in the white because of the platforms. :)

I agree with pp though, change into a couple pairs over the course of the day :)
I love the sentiment behind the purple shoes- not to mention they are so cute!

I have been drooling over the Badgley Mischka shoes too. Where did you buy the knock off from???

I love those shoes.. I have a similiar pair in Hot pInk and they are pretty comfortable and awesome!
I agree with PPs though about the purple shoes. I think it is a nice way to honor your mom so you should definitely try and wear them at some point.
It is so hard to stop buying shoes for the wedding lol.. I have now bought 3 pairs as well and change my mind constantly.

BostonGirl -- they're from Bakers! Between myself and the girl at the Natick store, we had to call practically every one of their stores in MA to find the right size, but only cuz I have tiny feet. They had a big selection and a few different colors too at that store!

    Mcononico -- glad I'm not alone! :)

I am such a shoe person, and I cant get the blue link to open! I love the other two pairs though! I think you've gotten everyone's vote on the same idea, wear both! :)

Ii actually fell in love with a pair of Nina's that i swore i was going to get in Red for my wedding.. (yes i still have plenty of time!) but then i was attending a wedding last weekend and to justify buying a pair of shoes for that i said i could wear them for my own if i dyed them (they tore my feet up) so let me know how those Nina's work out for you, apparently Paris Hilton's new line are not made for comfort!
