Advice - When to start hair/makeup day of

Happy Friday girls-

I wanted to sneak on here to ask about timing of hair and makeup.

I am wondering what time I should begin appointments at the salon.  I will need to leave my hotel at about 5:10 to make it to my 5:30 ceremony.  I have 8 people getting hair done and 6 getting makeup done.  Does anyone have any suggestions as to what time I should have the first appointment start or how long they think this will take?  We will be having one makeup artist and about 3 hairdressers and the salon is only 15 minutes away from where we will be getting ready.  Thanks for your help

Not sure that you can use this as a general principle, but my ceremony started at 4.30pm and I had my hair appointment at 11.30. I had my hair and my MOH hair done at a salon, by the same person, it took about an hour and a half for me, and 45 minutes for her.
Then we both went to my parents'place where the make-up artist came at 2pm and took about an hour per each of us. I never though the whole process would have taken so long, actually!

Honestly, I'd just call the salon and tell her your schedule.  They will know how long it will take better than any of us! I'm leaving it up to my stylist to schedule when he's coming to the hotel to do our hair/makeup.  I have no idea how long this stuff takes, either!
