Massachusetts-Boston

Question

Hi Ladies,

I normally post in the Florida- West Coast boards (that is where were are getting married) but this question needs good old Bostonian answers.  My girls are planning my bachelorette party in Boston and we are trying to figure out what to do.  We are a group of girls in our mid to late 30's  and while we want to have fun, the get really drunk, strippers scene is not exactly what we would like to do! LOL

Any ideas would be great ladies!
TIA

For my sisters bachelorette we went to the improv asylem in the northend(which was great), then had a great meal and drinks in a private room also in the north end.  We had a ton of fun!!

I recently was in a wedding and the bride isnt a drinker at all so we just took her to dinner at the Melting Pot. We were there for about 3 hours and it was certainly and experience. I told my MOH i want a sparty either we go to a spa or have someone come to a house and then I wanted an old school sleepover with all my favorite girls.

Depending on when your party is this might be an option ... Howl at the Moon (dueling piano bar) is opening a loction in Boston so if your event is after Aug 13 I would highly recommend checking it out ...

anywhere in Boston is going to cost you an arm and a leg... so be wary of that!
if you want the touristy drinking scene you can just go to fanueil hall and ALL of your bases will be covered. You have a few great places for a great dinner to start (Houstons, KingFish, McCormick and Schmicks they have a great happy hour menu!!) Ned Devines, etc...) then there's just a TON of bars where you can't go wrong. The Black Rose (a favorite of mine) Ned Devines (also a great bar- with dancing on the 2nd floor) there's the Purple Shamrock, Bell in Hand, The green Dragon... TONS TONS MORE! also, it's only about a 10 minute walk to the Waterfront and Northend... so you could basically go to ALL places! The sailloft, livingroom and Tias are all great places by the waterfront, and the NorthEnd is great for desserts and wine!!! The BEST cannolis are at Modern Pastry!! :)

    and lot's of shopping !! ;)
Whatever you do or wherever you end up--- in Boston you can't go wrong...

This looks cool (would have done something like this if my bachelorette wasn't in Newport) and I think they can take you to any venue you want to go. I like Clink a lot and have kind of always liked the Harp for bars. The Living Room is cool also <:

My brother actually arranged my bachelorette - we had dinner at a Japanese hot-pot place (Shabuya) and then did the Donkey Show! It's "A Midsummer Night's Dream" set to disco music - and they dance around you - it's the most fun I've ever had! I'm not into the stripper scene or a big drinker either, so it was perfect!

Thank you so much ladies!!  I know Boston pretty well, but when it came to this I went blank...especially when we are no longer in our crazy college days.

These ideas are great and exactly what I was looking for (spa, dinner a show- a tad bit of drinking - lol). I will be sharing all the great info with the gals this weekend to hopefully get the wheels turning!

Again, I really appreciate all the ideas & Best Wishes to all of you on your special days!

    Hi,
We went to Jacques for a bachelorette party when I was a bridemaid--It was so much fun!! They reserve tables for you and include the bride...we had so much fun---plus it is close to some bars if you feel like dancing.
