David's Bridal BM dress question

has anyone (or is anyone) getting their BM dresses from David's Bridal?  I am having 6 BMs in my wedding and they all live at a distance from me...2 in Atlanta, 2 in NY, 1 in CT, and 1 on the south shore in MA.  I am wondering, is it OK if they all order their dresses fro the David's Bridal closest to them, or should everyone order their BM dress from the same David's Bridal?  Someone said, that if you order from different locations, sometimes the color can be different (even though you order the same color)....let me know your thoughts, experiences, etc.  It will be so easy if they can all order from the store closest to them, otherwise, their dresses will have to be shipped to them and I don't know that David's does that or if I'll have to p/u all the dresses and ship them to my BMs.

I haven't personally ordered BM dresses from Davids but my friend did for her wedding. Her girls were all over the country and they just ordered the dress at their local store. No one could tell any differences in the dresses and the bride was very happy.

If you're nervous about them doing that, you just ask them to get fitted and then order the dresses yourself and them have them shipped to different locations after they get in.

My bridesmaids live in Massachusetts, New York and Florida.  We ordered from one store, and just had them shipped to everyone's house.  The only reason we did that was because the store in Florida was almost an hour away from my BM's house.  Everyone got their dress just fine.  I think David's Bridal charged $15 extra for shipping.  

As far as the colors matching/not matching, well, I guess I will find out the day of the wedding!

Since Davids is such a huge chain, I dont think you will have a problem with colors matching.  That is more for the smaller companies that make the dresses to order.  Davids already has them made in a warehouse somewhere.

DB dosent use a dye lot so all their colors will match.

I have BMs in MA and in NC.  I asked the sales rep at DB about dye issues and if we should order all dresses at the same time  and from the same store.  She said that they haven't had a "dye lot issue in 7 years".  I guess DB had those issues, but they don't have those problems anymore.

My Bm's are in GA, 3 places in MA, and NY...all going to diff. store.  My friend did this last summer and they were flawless

You should be fine with them ordering from different stores.

One of my BM lives in Charlotte and the other one lives in western MA.  My MOH lives in boston, so we went to go look at dresses together and had the sales person put the info into the computer of what dress and color i wanted for the BMs.  Both of them did not have issues ordering the correct dress, but you just need to let them know that you went to the david's bridal in a certain location and it should be all in there.  GL!!

I had my girls ordering from different places and so far the dresses are fine. They are pretty good about putting the info in the computer so if you make a decision in one place they can look it up in another.
